How to Seal a Cup?

The sealing process provides perfect leak-proof and hygiene with a practical method that takes only 4-5 seconds. We have listed the steps for sealing a cup for you!

1. Cup Selection:

The diameter of the cup or bowl to be used for the sealing process must be 95mm. Our machine uses an upper foil made from duplex or triplex laminated material and is suitable for healthier PE or PP cups instead of PET. In the market, 200ml bowls and 400ml, 600ml, and 660ml cups can be easily found for desserts like kazan dibi, sütlaç, and appetizers like acuka. Additionally, cups with a diameter of 75mm can be sealed using an extra mold, but since the foil is cut at a diameter of 95mm, an extra centimeter of foil remains on the rim of the 75mm cups.

2. Upper Foil Selection:

In choosing the upper foil, we recommend using metalized triplex foil, which consists of three layers and is more durable. Duplex foils consisting of two layers can also be used. The quality features of the foil are as follows: it does not leak when the cup is squeezed by hand or turned upside down after sealing, and it can be easily opened from the edge. To ensure customer satisfaction, easily openable foils should be preferred. In the SMBK95M model, unprinted foil can be used, while in the SMBK95Y and SMBK95A models, the automatic foil wrapping feature requires the presence of photocell marks consisting of black squares on the foil.
