How to Seal a Cup?

The sealing process provides complete leak-proofing and hygiene with a practical method that takes only 4-5 seconds. We have listed the step-by-step sealing process for you!

1. Cup Selection:

The diameter of the mouth of the cup or bowl you will use for sealing must be 95mm. Our machine uses top foil made from duplex or triplex laminated material and is suitable for healthier PE or PP cups instead of PET. In the market, 200ml bowls and 400ml, 600ml, and 660ml cups are easily available for desserts like kazan dibi and sütlaç, as well as appetizers like acuka. Additionally, 75mm diameter cups can be sealed using an extra mold, but since the foil is cut at 95mm diameter, there will be an extra inch of foil at the mouth of the 75mm cups.

2. Top Foil Selection:

In the top foil selection, we recommend opting for the metalized triplex foil, which consists of three layers and is more durable. Duplex foils, which consist of two layers, can also be used. The characteristics of quality foil are as follows: it does not leak when the cup is squeezed by hand or turned upside down after sealing, and it can be easily opened from the edge. To ensure customer satisfaction, easily openable foils should be preferred. In the SMBK95M model, unprinted foil can be used, while in the SMBK95Y and SMBK95A models, since there is an automatic foil wrapping feature, phototransistor marks consisting of black squares are required on the foil.
